Step back and let someone else shine

Sometimes, you just need to step out of the spotlight and lets people outshine you. For me, when that happens I feel useless. But now I am starting to learn that you don't always have to be number one.
For example: Today there was a science quiz , and inter school competition. So our  school team, 4 of us got the team prize. But what about the prize for the ONE person who got the highest marks? well, one person out of my team got that... and he was the LAST person who I thought could do it! None of us others got anything else. It felt humiliating at first, but I started to see things in a different light. It's a big thing to actually feel important in your life, so I am very happy that he had his chance to stand out and be the one who is 'in the spotlight'. Oh, and he used to be called a 'Garbage fish' by our headmaster, but now I hope the head will see him in a new light, and let him feel the glory of being a champion!

Why is there poverty?

Everyone knows that one of the problems our world is facing is poverty. But why is it there? Isn't there any way to stop it?
Of course there is! Poverty is not created by the people who are poor, but the system of the society that creates this famine.
Muhammad Yunus, a "Banker for the Poor" founded a bank that loans money to the poor on micro credit, and has now helped over millions of people fulfill their dreams in life. This person DARED to dream, to step out and take the first step towards a poverty-free world. That is a great value worth respecting, and I think it's very very cool that he had the courage to be different and to be selfless.

All about environment

"With Smelly Socks Come Smelly Feet."
Strange metaphor, but what does it MEAN?
It means that in a good environment, you are good. In a bad environment...well, you know.
So obviously we need to stay in a good environment. But what does a good environment mean? Is it a place where we get to have fun all day? Forget that!

A good environment is one in which all the people support you and give you the strength to overcome the obstacles in life.
A bad environment leads to destruction of your mind and soul. So it's obvious, that the environment most people choose to be in, but how do they get there? Ah, that is either up to you or fate to decide...

Being Yourself

It's not easy, I know. All around us, there are billions upon millions of reasons why we should NOT be who we truly are, but a mere figment of the society.
Why don't we want to stand out?  Is it because we are afraid of what if? What if people will

think I am so-and-so? Well, this might be hard to understand, but NOT being you is a waste of who you are!
You were MEANT to be who you are, not who you think you should be! Daringly STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
