Do you realize that sometimes in school, the kids are automatically grouped into a few groups: The better-marks group, the middle-results group and the no-hope group.
Most people don't do it on purpose, but unconsciously these groups are sorted once you get to know their showup.
The teachers in my school are always giving the better-marks group more chances, and they get scolded real bad if they don't act like the teachers expect them to. The middle-results group are safely beyond flunking, but the teachers don't show as much respect to them. The no-hope group? The teachers practically give up on them!
Under the teachers influence, the students start to feel superior...or useless. How do we solve this problem?
We can do it by trying to mingle around with all these 'groups' , getting to know how they feel and think. From there, we can understand them and find ways to help them or communicate with them. And slowly, the teachers may start to show more respect to the class.
This way, you can also connect better with your friends. Knowing them, you can easily talk to each other without any conflict! :)
I totally understand.I just happened to have this experience today. In Maths class,I got scolded by my teacher for getting two of my Math problems wrong. Then, in BM class, two people forgot to pass up their work. The middle-result one was scolded by the teacher while the no-hope one got away. When the teacher found out that the two didn't pass up, she gave a lecture to the whole class.
ReplyDeleteI was in the negative energy......thinking that she needn't scold us all just because of them two.I caught myself just then......phew.
